As Report Writing is highly integrated with Enterprise Records and can pull information from your agency's Enterprise Records database, there may be instances where fields within a report automatically populate with information.
For example, consider the following:
In Enterprise Records, an incident is created for an accident at 123 Main Street in Forest City, MI 55555.
The incident contains a subject, John Smith, who was born on 01/01/1981.
If a case report is created in Report Writing using the above incident, the following fields would automatically populate when the Case Report module opens:
On the General page:
Location field: 123 Main Street, Forest City, MI 55555
Occurred Incident Type list: Accident
Within a new subject entry on the Subjects page:
Last Name text box: Smith
First Name text box: John
Date of Birth text box: 01/01/1981.
Fields where information was automatically populated from your agency's Enterprise Records database can still be edited.
