Arrest Report - General - Field Descriptions

Age At Arrest label

The arrestee's age when the arrest occurred. This field automatically populates when a date of birth is added to the Date of Birth text box on the Arrestee page and cannot be edited. 

Arrest Type list

The type of arrest executed. For example, Taken into Custody.

Arrest Date text box

The date the arrest occurred. The Calendar  button may also be used to select a date. The correct format is MM/DD/YYYY. 

Arrest Time text box

The time the arrest occurred. The Clock  button may also be used to select a time. Unless Now is selected, the correct format is HH:MM. 

County list

The county where the arrest occurred.

Resisted Arrest list

Used to select whether the arrestee resisted arrest.

Arrest Result Of list

The reason that prompted the arrest. For example, Warrant.

Basis For Caution list

Used to specify any reason that others should take caution around the arrestee. For example, Contagious Disease or Gang Member.

Location field

When clicked, the Location Entry dialog opens, allowing you to add the address where the arrest occurred.

If a case number was entered when creating the arrest report, the Location field automatically populates with the location from the case. However, you can still edit or remove it on this page.

Multiple Clearance Indicator list

Used to ensure the arrestee is only counted once when the arrest is related to multiple cases/incidents.

The available options within the Multiple Clearance Indicator list are determined based on your state's regulations. Examples include M for Multiple, C for Count Arrestee, etc.

Case Number list

The number assigned to the associated case. 

Clicking inside the Case Number text box automatically populates the first four digits as the current year. After entering the number's remaining digits, the Report Writing application automatically verifies its validity with your agency's Enterprise Records database. If the case number does not exist in the database, the Case Number text box turns red, and the following error message displays below it: Case Number is Invalid.

Arrest Status list

The current status of the arrest. For example, Taken to Detention Center. 

Status Date text box

The date the current arrest status was selected. The Calendar  button may also be used to select a date. The correct format is MM/DD/YYYY.

Status Time text box

The time the current arrest status was selected. The Clock  button may also be used to select a time. Unless Now is selected, the correct format is HH:MM.
