The New Report tab of the Case Report dialog is used to create a new case report. This help topic contains descriptions of the fields on the New Report tab.
Field Name | Description |
---|---|
Agency list |
The agency the case report is associated with. |
Incident Number list |
The number assigned to the associated incident. Clicking inside the Incident Number text box automatically populates the first four digits as the current year. After entering the number's remaining digits, the Report Writing application automatically verifies its validity with your agency's Enterprise Records database. If the incident number does not exist in the database, the Incident Number text box turns red, and the following error message displays below it: Incident Number is Invalid. |
Occurred Incident Type list |
The type of incident that occurred. The Occurred Incident Type list only displays when the incident number entered in the Incident Number text box is not associated with an existing case in Enterprise Records. |
When finished, click the Next button. Depending on whether the incident number you entered is already in use on another case report, the following occurs:

Click the Recall button to recall the follow up case report, or Cancel to close the dialog and return to the Home page.
