To create a field interview, click the + Add New button on the Home page, then select + Field Interview from the menu. The Field Interview dialog opens, and the following fields display:
Agency list: The agency the field interview is associated with.
Contact Reason list: The reason for conducting the field interview. For example, Suspicious Activity.
Incident Number text box: The number assigned to the associated incident.
Clicking inside the Incident Number text box automatically populates the first four digits as the current year. After entering the number's remaining digits, the Report Writing application automatically verifies its validity with your agency's Enterprise Records database. If the incident number does not exist in the database, the Incident Number text box turns red, and the following error message displays below it: Incident Number is Invalid.
